Welcome aboard, Laurent. Ken Burnside tells me there has been a jump in Birds of Prey orders from France in recent weeks, which is probably precipitated by this article. We are certainly happy to have folks join the group from all around the world. We have received some great research and art support from, in particular, our French and Spanish members. (Good data on French aircraft is surprisingly sparse in English language sources, in spite of their rich history.)
Can someone provide me with additional information on this article. I'd love to get contact information for the author and/or publisher.
Also, what issue is the article in? (I'd really love to get a PDF or scan of the article, or at least find out where I can order a copy of the magazine.)
I've heard mention of Vae Victis magazine before.
Here are some links I found:
http://vaevictis.histoireetcollections.com/en http://vaevictis.histoireetcollections.com/en/publication/2451/vaevictis-92-may-2010.htmlhttp://www.boardgamegeek.com/wiki/page/Vae_Victis_IndexBoP is in the May 2010 issue, with a two-page "Analysis" spread. It looks pretty, but the web view doesn't provide enough resolution to easily read more then the title: "Birds of Prey: Des chasseurs â réaction en vraie 3D" [about? Jet fighters in true 3D]. The article is written by Philippe Allard. One of the sections is nicely titled "Le PHAD". The illustrations are nice, showing nomos, box minis on tilt blocks, the ACC, and an ADC (of a Mirage, naturally!).
It does mention the "Magic 2" in the final paragraph, in connection with a Fulcrum and starts out "If you want to see..." but I couldn't make out all of the remaining words. I think the sense is something
> along the lines of if you want to see in detail how a Magic 2 works against a Fulcrum in afterburner, this is the game for you.
